The objective of the award: to encourage investigations and studies on urban policies in the City of Madrid, as well as comparative studies of Madrid and other cities in urban policy matters. Candidates: Madrid Global considers as candidates all the authors of papers on the subjects indicated presented at the Conference, except those which expressly declare they do not want to be presented for the award. What the award consists of: A diploma accrediting the award and a plaque, both of them with the name of the author, or authors, and the title of the paper. The paper will be published in the Conference Book, expressly stating it has won the award. Place and date of the publication, and the handing over of the award: Madrid, Teatro Fernán Gómez, on 6 June 2009, during the plenary session of the Conference closure.
